This type is a semi-forestry stem crusher. It is designed as an intermediate series between the traditional horizontal shaft and the forestry type of shaft crushers.The rear door can be opened together with the roller, as on the forestry type of shaft crushers. The shaft is the same as that of the traditional (Alpha M Grizzly) horizontal shaft type.It can be used either with the door closed in forward direction, pulling the shaft, or pushing it backwards with the door open. Special "serrated" design with extra strong hammer ears and special "bear foot" shaped hammers.Excellent choice for small twig/wood chipping from grass pastures, plantation farming to light forestry work.Cutting diameter of the machine is up to 6-9 cm.
The Alta XL series is available in working widths of 150, 180, 200 and 240 cm.
